About this training

This training webinar will be led by cultural heritage learning consultant Anna Salaman. She has thirty years’ experience immersed in the arts, heritage and cultural sectors, specialising in learning and participation, creativity and play. Anna has worked with organisations around the world including ArtScience Museum (Singapore), Discover Children’s Story Centre, the Science Museum, the Natural History Museum, and the V&A.

The session will help delegates to:

• learn about the developmental stages of children, ages 0-12,
• gain an understanding of different facilitation styles to build confidence when interacting with children of different age groups,
• explore the five types of play and facilitating play,
• make plans to put the training into practice in their organisation.

This training will be delivered virtually on Zoom over one half-day session (two hours and 30 minutes with a short break). 

The session will be delivered in English with bilingual slides, with an option to provide a Welsh language interpreter.

Who should attend?

This training is aimed at staff or volunteers who work in museums, art galleries and heritage sites and are interested in developing their knowledge and understanding of the developmental stages of children to inform how they create activities for families. This webinar is for staff and volunteers from Welsh museums only.

Bydd y gweminar hyfforddi hwn yn cael ei arwain gan yr ymgynghorydd dysgu treftadaeth ddiwylliannol Anna Salaman. Mae ganddi ddeng mlynedd ar hugain o brofiad o weithio yn y sectorau celfyddydau, treftadaeth a diwylliannol, yn arbenigo mewn dysgu a chyfranogaeth, creadigedd a chwarae. Mae Anna wedi gweithio gyda sefydliadau o amgylch y byd yn cynnwys yr Amgueddfa ArtScience (Singapore), y Ganolfan Discover Children’s Story, yr Amgueddfa Gwyddoniaeth, yr Amgueddfa Hanes Naturiol a’r V&A.

• gwneud cynlluniau i roi hyfforddiant ar waith yn eu sefydliad.

Bydd yr hyfforddiant hwn wedi ei ddarparu’n rhithwir ar Zoom, dros sesiwn o ddiwrnod a hanner (dwy awr a hanner gydag egwyl fer).

Bydd y sesiwn hon yn cael ei darparu yn Saesneg gyda sleidiau dwyieithog, ac opsiwn i ddarparu cyfieithydd Cymraeg.
